Our Beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is God’s word and has the authority to command our beliefs and actions.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God the Father is perfect and is personally involved in our daily lives
Matthew 5:48 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
God the Father
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God who became human to be our Savior and Lord.
Philippians 2:6-8 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross!
The Holy Spirit is God and lives in believers as our Helper.
John 14:16-17a 16 And I will as the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever– 17 the Spirit of truth.
The Holy Spirit
Humanity
Humanity is created in God’s image and needs deliverance from sin.
Romans 3:23 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Salvation is God’s permanent gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Salvation
Identity in Christ
Identity in Christ is the basis for all that we are as people.
2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Personal Growth to become more like Jesus is possible through the power of God.
Philippians 4:13 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Personal Growth
The Church
The Church is God’s number one priority on earth today.
Matthew 16:18 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Eternity involves all people facing God’s judgement and spending eternity in either heaven or hell.
Revelation 20:15 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Eternity
